Since its beginning in 1948, the Junior League of Abilene has been committed to promoting voluntarism and training women for community leadership. Members of the Junior League of Abilene continue to build a better community through their dedicated service as effectively trained volunteers. The Junior League of Abilene reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

What are the Membership Requirements?

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must be a resident of the City of Abilene or reside within a 40-mile radius of the city limits
  • Must agree to engage in community service in connection with the program of the League and must complete a specified course
  • Must be sponsored and endorsed by a current JLA member
